EDT driving lessons
Limerick & Shannon, Co. Clare

EDT lessons are 12 mandatory lessons that must be taken by any new driver before they can apply to take their driving test. While 12 is the mandatory number of lessons that need to be taken, many learner drivers require more than just 12 before they have reached the standard required to take and pass their full driving test.

Lessons can be done in either 1 or 2 hour blocks. It is imperative that practice is done between each EDT lesson to ensure learners progress and improve their driving ability constantly. We also cater for pupils who need to undertake the reduced EDT syllabus of 6 lessons.

Still not sure if you need 12 EDT Driving lessons? This is why you do:

What does it take to become a safe, responsible driver?

The answer is EDT—or Essential Driver Training. The EDT program is designed to help you gain the skills you need to pass your driving test and become an experienced driver.

We will teach you how to pass the driving test and make safe decisions behind the wheel. It’s also a great way to practice some essential life skills that will benefit you throughout your whole life—time management, effective communication and responsibility.

Frequently asked question (FAQ)

The first lesson is an introductory lesson during which you will be given a logbook and then introduced to all the controls of the car. After this there may be time to do some basic driving also.

You should bring your logbook and provisional licence with you to each lesson you undertake.

At present we only offer manual driving lessons but may offer automatic lessons at some point in the future. We can provide automatic lessons if the student is providing their own automatic car for the lesson.

Lessons can be paid for in cash or though Revolut.
